The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Mortimer St Mary's CE Junior School as a Church of England school are outstanding

  • The passion of school leaders, especially the headteacher, ensures that the distinctive Christian values in the school have a direct impact on the attitudes, respectful relationships and exemplary behaviour of all pupils and staff
  • Collective worship provides all pupils with deep experiences of reflection from which they shape their lives.
  • The inclusive and mutually supportive link with the local church has a significant impact on collective worship, giving a rich experience of Anglican tradition.
  • The school's involvement in the local community and links with global communities generates an understanding of and respect for diverse cultures and faith traditions.
  • RE provides a rich tapestry of experiences from which pupils are able to develop spiritually, morally, socially and culturally.
